Keno

Keno

Even though Keno resembles Bingo to some extent, it is gaining popularity among casino goers around the world. The game can be found in most brick-and-mortar establishment these days, and online casinos evidently wouldn't miss out on this increasingly popular game. There isn't too much skill involved in playing Keno as most of the results depend merely on luck and fortune.

The Basics

Many of you probably have never heard of Keno. So what exactly is this game? Playing Keno bares a certain similarity to a fusion of an auction, a stock exchange and Bingo. The very basic structure of Keno works this way: the player fills out a small piece of paper and places a wager on his bet. He then watches a board, where the results are being displayed. The main similarity to Bingo is  that the player selects a few numbers and hopes that they will be picked.

The game begins with the player being showed a board that contains 80 different numbers. He then traditionally selects anywhere between 10 and 20 numbers, depending on the casino. Exactly 20 numbers will then be picked from a pool containing all 80 numbers and the more numbers are hit, the bigger the payout. Evidently, the more numbers the player decides to bet on, the higher the potential winning as well.

How to Play

As mentioned earlier, the player selects between ten and twenty numbers. The only strategy involved in Keno is understanding the payout structure. If a player selects ten numbers and hits three of them, his wager will win, but the winning will be relatively small compared to him selecting twenty numbers and hitting ten. The simple rule is: the more players are selected, the higher the payout for each individual number that ends up hitting. When one round of numbers is selected, the player may elect to change his numbers or keep the same ones.

Bankroll Requirements

Since Keno is a game of chance, it is crucial to stick to very strict bankroll requirement limits. The bets made on any individual round Keno should be directly correlated to the overall bankroll a player owns. With a $100 bankroll for instance, a player might establish that any individual bet may not exceed $10. The more spots chosen on a ticket, evidently, the more expensive the round will be.
